This publication is a collection of images depicting the different categories to be seen within the mask wearing community. The articles make it double as a source of information on the do’s and don’ts when it comes to wearing face masks.

[Introduction]

After a year of quarantining, continuously washing our hands, social distancing and wearing masks, it’s safe to say not everyone approaches the current global pandemic the same way. Over the past year I’ve noticed many different practices when it comes to the compulsory wearing of face masks. First and foremost, there are many people refusing to even wear them, also known as anti-maskers,but besides that there’s a surprising amount of different categories within the mask wearing community. From people who can’t seem to wrap their heads around how to wear a face mask correctly, to people who’ve made masks part of their personal style and people who can’t be safe enough and therefore wear two masks on top of each other.
